The Plots here are provided as Routes (only valid for Garmin GPS units), Short Routes and Snail Trails. Use your Browser keys (usually a right mouse click opens a menu) to copy the file(s) you want to your hard drive. You can then use the appropriate software to view, edit, print or upload the data into your GPS.
Elsewhere on the CD, you will find software you can use to interface with your GPS. The data formats here are mostly in one of two formats G7ToWin, a shareware product that did most of the routine tasks I wanted; or TopoMapPro, a top of the line mapping application specifically geared to New Zaaland conditions.
Either way, you should be able to arrange to upload data from one of these formats into an NMEA-compliant GPS unit. Please note however that I have only tested these software offerings against my PC and my Garmin GPS 12. I have no idea as to the performance or otherwise of any other configurations.
If you cannot connect your GPS to your PC, all is still not lost, if you go to the Short Routes, you can use the data from the text versions to manually enter waypoints into your GPS. Even here you have a choice, so the coordinates are provided in two formats:- degrees latitude and longitude, and the NZMD grid coordinates of east and north. Hopefully one of these will fit your GPS.
